The setting must be committed to ensuring that children have a safe, positive environment where they can learn and develop. It is the duty of the committee to ensure that all staff and volunteers are also committed to children's well-being and safety; are clear about their responsibilities to safeguard and promote children's welfare; know the procedures for highlighting any concerns; and have appropriate guidance and training to undertake their roles.
Section 3 of the EYFS Statutory Frameworks set out the safeguarding and welfare requirements that must be met by all providers. For all safeguarding information please refer to the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Partnership website under the "Professionals" tab NYSCP (safeguardingchildren.co.uk).
