Enrichment Activities and Celebrating Success

The North Yorkshire Virtual School is dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences and life opportunities of children in care. Beyond academic support, we offer a variety of enrichment activities designed to promote emotional well-being, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. These activities include creative workshops, mountain bike adventures, outdoor activities and cultural experiences, all available to a range of age groups. By providing a supportive and engaging environment, the Virtual School ensures that every child has the opportunity to access to high-quality learning opportunities and opportunities to thrive and develop both academically, socially and personally.

The enrichment programs include creative workshops such as art, cooking, music, and drama, which encourage self-expression and confidence. Mountain biking adventures promote physical health, and discipline, while outdoor adventures like rock scrambling provide opportunities to connect with nature and develop problem-solving skills. Additionally, cultural experiences broaden horizons and spark curiosity about the world.  We work with providers who understand our Young Persons and we strive to offer familiar activities alongside opportunities to try something new across many settings in the county.

These activities reflect the school’s unwavering dedication to fostering a brighter future for every child in North Yorkshire.
