If you are a school, you can get help and support from the North Yorkshire Council Finance Team.
Before using the FES service, please consult the Frequently Asked Questions that have been developed to answer some common Finance queries.
If you cannot find the answer to your query on the FAQ page then contact the FES via the web form. The web form is available at the bottom of this page.
We aim to respond to your query within two working days - with a resolution or to advise you of the work involved and an anticipated date of resolution. We will endeavour to prioritise urgent queries but please ensure, where possible, that you submit your query to the Finance Enquiry Service in plenty of time.
Please note that the Finance Enquiry Service is not a replacement for the FMS Helpline or your existing arrangements for contacting Employment Support, Business Support or North Yorkshire Education Services.

- Specific grant funding ie UIFSM, Pupil Premium, School Sports Grant
- BAFS related issues ie Cash advances, VAT returns, Bank reconciliations
- Loans
- Deficit budgets
- SEN Funding
- Devolved capital funding
- Balances control
- Advice re information in the School Finance Manual
